To mark this new, challenging, political inflection-point we, the artists involved in this compilation, are releasing Notes from Sub-Underground a collection of material: music, sound, and assorted aural ephemera. Noted in The Wire Magazine

“Noir Telos” featured on Dominique Bailey’s online radio program “websyncradio”, Paris, France, 2013

Jean Luc Godard’s film “Alphaville” and the electronic voice of Alpha 60 in addition to the science fiction atmosphere that permeates the film was considered. I wanted to create a track that was musically spatial and somehow cinematic.

A 12 CD signed edition box set, including double-sided poster, insert, sticker and die cut hand-assembled box. Designed in collaboration with Shiffman&Kohnke, Los Angeles. Edition: 50

This edition is the culmination of a one-year project from November 2011 to October 2012 in which one CD was released each month. The 64 tracks total 10 hours of electronic noise created in studio and at NY and LA venues.

MDSE has now released a third live recorded CD. David Schafer and MeKaniKdolls’s sound collaboration performed at Lumenhouse in Bushwick, Brooklyn as part of Arts in Bushwick’s “Site Fest”. .
