DEFERRED ACTION FINAL

Solo show and live performance at Samuel Freeman Gallery, Los Angeles CA.

The installation included “Four Letters to Mahler” and “DSENOISE” box set installation. Performances the night of the opening included DSE, David Galbraith, and Dewey Ambrosino with Jacqueline Gordon. Samuel Freeman Gallery is host to three simultaneous solo shows of sound and sculptural installation by David Schafer, David Galbraith, and a collaboration by Dewey Ambrosino & Jacqueline Kiyomi Gordon.

Live, unmastered recording: 

A 12 CD signed edition box set, including double-sided poster, insert, sticker and die cut hand-assembled box. Designed in collaboration with Shiffman&Kohnke, Los Angeles. Edition: 50

This edition is the culmination of a one-year project from November 2011 to October 2012 in which one CD was released each month. The 64 tracks total 10 hours of electronic noise created in studio and at NY and LA venues.

The box set will be available for purchase through DSE studio and Studio10 gallery, Brooklyn.

Maté 3 performance at Invisible Dog, Brooklyn, New York

DSE performed at Invisible Dog as part of the Maté Series 3 curated by Richard Garet. DSE performed a live processing of Arnold Schoenberg’s Peirrot Lunaire Op. 21 from 1912. Also performing during this series was Bob Bellarue and Alfredo Marin.

MDSE has now released a third live recorded CD. David Schafer and MeKaniKdolls’s sound collaboration performed at Lumenhouse in Bushwick, Brooklyn as part of Arts in Bushwick’s “Site Fest”. .

The recording is now available on iTunes.

David Schafer, MeKaniKdolls and their collaboration MDSE have just released their second live recorded CD.

The recording took place at {SØNiK} Fest 2.0 at BronxArtSpace, with performances by Schafer and just recently formed MDSE. The CD has two lengthy tracks that include “Jackhammer”, the full-length version by DSE, and “Triadic Irruption”, by collaboration MDSE.

The recording is now available on iTunes.

David Schafer, MeKaniKdolls and their collaboration MDSE are proud to announce the release of two live recorded CDs.

Their “Sad Pavilion” performance from Mildred’s Lane and Schafer’s own “What Should a Museum Sound Like?” are now available through iTunes and their websites.
